Back in the 1980’s—when I was working as a full-time fine artist—I was fond of saying “If we’re going to have an art of the apocalypse, we’d better start now.” The initial shock of the U.S. presidential election has subsided, so I offer this: a drawing called “A Bad and Unsafe Democracy” made 35 years ago.
